Espe chose a vintage dress for her wedding to Albán. The two met at a music festival in Lisbon. Eight years later, and despite some setbacks, love triumphed. “So we had to celebrate by gathering our family and friends, mainly from Andalusia and Galicia. A very unconventional wedding because we decided to turn this celebration into a full-blown Western. Without a doubt, one of the most special days of our lives.”

Espe tells us: “I was never a big fan of weddings in general; I admit they were starting to bore me. But when we set a date, I had no choice but to start researching. My idea was clear, but I had doubts about whether any firm could help me bring it to life.”
“In this search, and through an article in Vogue magazine, I discovered L’Arca. A BEAUTIFUL store that, in addition to having a very cool bridal catalog, sold pieces from the beginning of the last century in impeccable condition.”
“So I didn’t hesitate. It had to be there. It was a very easy process and the whole team was super professional. Nina immediately grasped what I had in mind and was very enthusiastic about the wedding.”

The truth is that Espe arrived at our workshop with a very clear idea of what she wanted, accompanied by her cousin, who was also getting married that year. We had the perfect period dress among the vintage clothing collection we’re building. We suggested an original vintage silk skirt from 1900 , intricately detailed with embroidered trim and guipure lace, and we custom-designed the corset with puffed sleeves that she had in mind.
Espe completed the “Western Saloon Bride” look with a black belt like a holster, a black bow on the corset, and matching ankle boots. She also wore a vintage amulet pendant. She did her own makeup, and one of her best friends, Valle, styled her hair in a high ponytail.

Espe and Albán got married on October 26, 2019 at Cortijo El Chamorro, which was completely transformed into a “Wild West” with the help of the Seville wedding planners Love A Tope.
“We didn’t want anything cheesy and we wanted everything to be a reference to the West. Yeeee haw!”.La Buganvilla Arte Floral transformed the Andalusian farmhouse beyond recognition.
The entrance was very cinematic, just like us. And the ceremony was nothing like what we’re used to seeing.
The town bells rang, and all the guests, dressed in their finest Western attire, entered the courtyard. My father, the sheriff, rode in on horseback, challenging Albán to a duel. I entered through the back door, making sure no one got hurt. Because that day, I was going to marry that man!

The ceremony was also quite unconventional, complete with a flask and the women seated on a cowhide. They entered to the song “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)” by Nancy Sinatra.

There were shots fired into the air, chickens roaming freely around the farm, western movie music, shots of hard whiskey, and even a mechanical bull.

Long tables were set up inside the Cortijo. Catering Campuzano included Tex-Mex food on the menu: the main course even included corn on the cob and baked beans.

The photography of the ceremony, which captured its most profound essence, was done by AHR Photos

“The best memory of the wedding was seeing all our favorite people, enjoying themselves together and being able to share it with Albán.”
