L'ARCA ORGANIZED A HISTORICAL EXHIBITION ON THE GAUDÍ BRIDAL CATWALK.
A WEDDING DRESS FOR EVERY DECADE.
The exhibition showcased the evolution of wedding dresses, presenting a representative gown for each decade, from 1860 to 1960. Thus, through the designs, attendees could see the reflection of the stereotype of woman and the way in which the bride could express her idea of femininity according to the historical moment in which she lived.
The wedding dresses were displayed alongside their respective accessories. Flowing veils and delicate embellishments enhanced the bride’s image at every stage, as reflected in the collection presented by L’Arca. A wide selection of accessories, such as fans, handkerchiefs, and garters, was also showcased, all imbued with rich symbolism.
