Gala and Alejo’s wedding in Cerdanya

Gala and Alejo were married on May 11th in Cerdanya, in the Catalan Pyrenees, a very special place for both of them and where they got engaged a year earlier. They were married in the Torre del Remei, a modernist mansion dating from 1910.

The preparations

Gala wore a nightgown from Maria Gadea atelier while José Belmonte did her makeup and Ferran Pujol, her usual hairdresser from Salón Toro in Barcelona, styled her hair.

She wore custom-made shoes from Flor de Asoka, earrings that belonged to her grandmother, and the wedding ring was a gift from Alejo.

Alejo wore a custom-made suit from Scalpers with Loropiana fabric, a Brunati Como tie, and an IWC watch.

“From the beginning I wanted a comfortable dress and I fell in love with a silk muslin fabric at L’Arca and at the L’Arca atelier they made me a custom dress with a crossed halter neckline, an irregular bias drape on the bodice.”

“I loved going to the atelier in the Gothic Quarter with my mother, and after the visits we would take the opportunity to eat at the Boqueria market.”

For the veil-cape, we chose an antique piece from 1900 of princess lace applied by hand over tulle. “I chose it because it is a handmade lace, rich without being ostentatious.”

“I loved the idea of wearing it like a hood because I wanted to be covered when I entered the ceremony to preserve the moment of mystery when Alejo saw me, but I didn’t want the classic veil.”

Ceremony in Llivia

They married in the small church of Llivia in a heartwarming ceremony. The bride arrived in the family car they always used for skiing, on her father’s arm.

Her nephews, dressed as Kiddo, accompanied her on her way to the altar.

A particularly emotional moment was when Cristina from Music Crico, a friend of the bride, sang Hallelujah.

Gala was very clear that her bouquet should be made of peonies and the Gardenia variety was chosen, known for its elegance, aroma and beauty.

Appetizer and Meal

Clara del Gallinero events, the wedding planner who took care of the organization, tells us how they organized the wedding: “ Gala’s idea was an elegant and relaxed wedding with two very different moments, the first part more classic and the second a very festive party; I think we achieved it .”

The aperitif, enlivened by Dantuvi with specialties from the Catalan Pyrenees, was served in the gardens.

Gala arrived in a wheelbarrow pulled by Alejo for the aperitif, making an unforgettable entrance.

Pedro from Cayana Studio, along with Clara, was in charge of the decoration and floral arrangements. ” Gala, surrounded daily by the world of fashion, inspired us to reflect her unique style in every detail of our work .”

“We use rustic decorative materials typical of Cerdanya, elevating them with high-end glassware, brass elements, and touches of tulle to add a feminine touch.”

“Marta from La Papelería de vuestra Boda took care of all the stationery: the menu, the seating plan, the ribbons. She understood me immediately.” “Gala comments.”

Laura Pi of Le Chef was in charge of the catering. “Her food is exceptional. It’s reliable, elegant, with good products and variety.”

“Nuovi Piatti took care of the table materials, giving them that rustic and romantic touch, very suitable for the place.”

Glitter Party

The second part of the wedding had a “Glitter” theme, as seen in Gala’s second dress, a sequined embroidered dress from the HM & Paco Rabanne collaboration, and flower earrings from Le Touquet.

There was a “glitter secret spot” all in silver and red tones, with silver macarons and a candy bar full of sweets.

“Alejo was in charge of organizing the music; we had the DreamSound team. After lunch, La Repera sang, and finally, DJ Patri Recoder performed.” ».

The Galaxy’s Edge was in charge of the photography and the videographers were Las Bodas de Juanita.
