A simple bride and a matching cake

Natalia and Isaac celebrated a family wedding at Mas Llagostera, a 17th-century farmhouse in the Penedès region, surrounded by vineyards. Natalia chose a simple Edwardian dress and a boater hat.

The bride did not want to give up wearing an elegant dress and celebrating a heartwarming wedding, even if the ceremony was intimate and informal.

She fell in love with a vintage dress we had in the shop. It was an authentic antique dress from 1910, made of tulle embroidered with bugle beads and covered wooden beads—an old summer dress from that era.

She tried it on and it was the perfect dress for a simple and romantic wedding. With a few minor adjustments, we adapted the dress and made a custom jumpsuit to wear underneath.

Natalia completed her look with vintage diamond earrings from the same era, a gift from her brother, a silver hair clip attached to her updo, and a French-style straw boater hat with a veil, from our favorite hatmaker, Jordina Bravo.

The couple organized a small, multi-day wedding with their closest friends. They slept at the farmhouse on Friday to welcome each of their guests on Saturday morning. And they also bid them farewell with a sardine barbecue on Sunday.

The order of the wedding was reversed: it began with the introduction of the bride and groom and a dance by the door of the farmhouse, to the rhythm of jazz. The bride exchanged her bouquet for a handmade bobbin lace handkerchief, a gift from her aunt.

The ceremony didn’t take place until after dinner. All the lights were turned off and Antonia Font’s music began to play. Surrounded by torches, the bride and groom, with their two young daughters, walked to the vineyards and exchanged rings there.

As the ceremony ended, a neon sign announced it was time for the party. And that’s when all the decorations hidden in the inner room were illuminated, revealing a grand dessert buffet , prepared by Pastisseria Grau , the bride’s family bakery.

One of the best-kept surprises of the night was precisely the wedding cake, which was an exact replica of the embroidery on the bride’s dress.
